PHOTOGRAPHY ADVICE I GIVE EVERY TIME
I will be the only barrier to what I am able to achieve”……… as a mantra I use this as a way of dealing with any negative thoughts to unleash the creativity within. With camera in hand it helps me elevate my visual experience to obtain a positive outcome. This stork image was achieved following several days visiting the same spot in the Guadiana Valley, Portugal. Climbing a thirty foot pine tied in with rope and carabiner waiting quietly bing patient to get this wonderful image. I have to add the tree and myself were a safe distance not to disturb this family of birds. Of course we don’t necessarily have to risk life and limb to achieve a great image as there is plenty to photograph on terra firma!
YOU DON’T TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MAKE IT
Ok so we all hear people say…… “what a great photo that photographer took.” Well to be honest we all know there was and is a lot more than just pushing the shutter button……in fact as a photographer you don’t take a photograph, you make it.
The biggest factor for me is undoubtedly the photographer and their ability to see something that most don’t see. Further more the ability to compose a great composition plus a good understanding of light.
